Counting down

Greetings all.

Friends Birthday Party
Not too much has been happening to report over the last few months, it seems we are patiently waiting  for all sorts of things to happen in the near future though. Our 12 month anniversary of being in Brunei came and went on June 22nd. The boys school year finishes this coming Friday (5th July), they will be on a 'summer break' for around 6 weeks. Their year at school seems to have flown by, they have had a great year with good academic results. I am already into term 3 for my school year with the dreaded extended and very busy term 2 done and dusted. It was a 12 week stint filled with assessments and an extreme lack of public holidays or two day weekends.

Jason's rugby season has come to an end with their team finishing not so well (dead last) in the competition. The only teams they had managed to beat all season happened to be the two teams that met in the final. It was unfortunate they couldn't maintain a consistent team with some (of the better) players unable to play the Sunday games for the same reasons as Michael Jones.
Smiling baby girl - 29 weeks

The pregnancy has gone absolutely smoothly with my only real complaints being the absurdly ridiculous heat here and the constant heartburn. Little miss will hopefully grace us with her presence within the next 4 weeks. If she is to follow her brothers lead, we should hope to see her around 37-38 weeks which is anytime after 19 July. The maternity care has been as expected in a developing country. The language barrier makes midwife visits brief and rather uninformative, thankfully having done this all before I am not too concerned. I did find it rather interesting that they are so confident in their medical apparatus during delivery that I was required to have a mandatory tetanus shot. I am praying that the birth is as speedy and text book as the boys were and all will be fine.

Mum arrives for her visit on the 22nd July so we are all looking forward to our first visitor. With any luck she will catch bubs arrival or at least get to meet her.
We have decided not to resign our contract for next year so we will be coming home for good after my last day on 30 November. There were plenty of deciding factors in our decision not to stay in Brunei, my annual leave at Greenpark is only until the end of 2013 and there is no way I wanted to resign from my position there. Also with it being all but illegal for Jas to get a job here, it would be a long time out of the workforce for him if we were to stay, which wouldn't look great on his CV... the list goes on. So we also have moving home to look forward to.

That's really all from us... patiently waiting.
